The Sad Realization of How Things Work

I can't ever comprehend
How I can go against what I always thought
I've compromised my doctrines
I stood strong, so very strong by that conclusion
Thank you ending, for creating in me a hypocrite

And lately I've seen so clearly
The fractions of life 
The parts where I face myself
Not in the mirror, I'm no liar in the glass
Yet it was going against what
The very statement that drove me through
Now I know why I made the choices I did
Not based on my feelings, but based on the typical
The answers every human said
I've become a "lost in this"
Coming across a fork in the road
Each path with it's own ending
Where will I end up now?

And now looking back
At all the decisions made
Where is my own devotion, my commitment
Like a temporary rose, blown away by it's own weakness
Towards the conclusion of inevitability

March on, everyone
Onto our realization, our being
Leave all the halves of the hearts
And place them in your passions, your treasures
Along with the rest of our hearts
Let them beat and ring out in all of our areas of peace
Our places of satisfaction
Put all of our hearts in us, God
We seek devotion, and we'll become the offering
