We're All Just Waiting

When letters form to tell me I'm unfinished
I have all the day to simply wait
With dead seconds passing, soon diminished
A little excitement that I can't shake

But with every new minute, comes brand new thought
To tell them the story of everything I'm not
Because my case is different, it's for them to see
That love is amazing, and once far from me

Response can wait, as I sift through newness
Placing myself in their room
To think we were the same, all just fruitless
And now we're waiting to go soon

Now this new week is old
And I just now want to be told
That time is faster than I hope
And it's the death of me that we all must cope
