No Motive

Freedom once reigned on this place
Like a cloud that never left the land of Seattle
But soon it was shaken and, it became warped
To now mislead melancholy

Motivation, purpose and a driving life
Disappear before me, in the blinks of our minds
And forever stayed still since they've been gone
Control, control, we've lost control

So misery is a custom, that we all live by
Or at least seem to find when the tide has drowned us
Shouting, screaming, composure breaking
These are just some of our infamous lives

Why not just shut the lights and exhale and breathe
The breaking has begun, and the breaking can end
Just please for the sake of those around you
Quiet down and listen to the silence
