The Peace of Darkness

As for five hours, history fulfils itself
I walked through the neighbourhood, as light had not shed
Instead I wasted a fraction of my paid time
To talk to you and all of my friends

So then I called one out, and we took a sore walk
Spoke of the past, and the love that was in it
Talked about the problems we shared and it's glory
The complex creation of the other side

Good friends, this is what happens if we lived in a dark world
With the sound of humming ceasing for our prayers to be heard
That all familiar sound that we can now focus without
Good friends, this is what happens if we lived in a dark world

We can speak indifferent wishes
Revive the world of the love we pursue
Families of unfamiliar blood can form
And our souls can sing of the beauty and grace outside
