Time Will Tell

I only dreamt in long, faded phone calls
Wished for childish things that shouldn't be
So I'll tuck away the feeling, as hard as it seems
Know that time will tell, and it will catch my falls

Desperation, in all ways I can tell
Just ask me still, and I'll keep it in a prayer
Be brave, oh broken soul, don't be so jaded
Don't trickle the mind, don't hide it behind the veil

Short note, short one, as there's work to be done
I wish I could speak to you all more
But it's all this meaningless on the floor
And I don't want to see the rising sun
